Monique Lhuillier Fifty Shades

Australia's Harper's Bazaar has a feature on the undeniable fashion influence of the Fifty Shades film franchise. The third and final film in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, features the wedding of Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey. FIDM Graduate Monique Lhuillier was tapped by costume designer Shay Cunliffe to create Ana's long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown. The L.A.-based company will produce a similar mass-market version to sell on their website.

It's not the first time Lhuillier has worked with Cunliffe on a Fifty Shades film. The ready-to-wear and bridal designer created the famed  liquid silver column gown Ana wore to a masked ball in the second installment, Fifty Shades Darker. She told Racked that "the masquerade dress garnered so much attention. There's definitely a halo effect in addition to the direct sales of that dress."

Fifty Shades Freed is now playing.
